The Real Difference Between Vince McMahon And TKO

Vince McMahon Triple H

Vince McMahon’s WWE was very different from TKO’s WWE. This has been made clear by the fans and the superstars.

Usually, WWE Superstars are quite glad to be working under Triple H rather than McMahon, since The Big Man. McMahon would always have the last word and would change scripts even at the last minute if it wasn’t to his liking.

Furthermore, The Cerebral Assassin provides superstars with a schedule that allows them to be on the road, spend time with family, and have time off during the festive season, as opposed to Vince McMahon, who would have superstars on the road with rigorous schedules.

Vince McMahon did not want to always profit off people like TKO does

TKO’s executive Mark Shapiro revealed that WWE hadn’t maximized its ticket pricing under Vince McMahon’s regime. Responding to that, Matt Hardy claimed that while the strategy was sustainable now, it also puts immense pressure on the creative team to come out with enthralling storylines and characters.

On the other hand, Vince McMahon priced the tickets in such a way that it filled up arenas, allowed parents to bring kids to the events, and he wasn’t taking everything he possibly could churn out from the fans.

I feel like Vince wanted to make as much money as he could possibly make, but I don’t feel like he wasn’t as layered as these people. When they bring a WWE event anywhere, as you said, they wanted to do, seen his last event in Boston. Initially, that was the mindset. And obviously, the people who are there and are the biggest John Cena fans, and I’m sure John himself. He would love to go out on that. I don’t know. I would love to go out in Raleigh or Fayetteville or Charlotte or whatever.

And I’m sure John would have loved to have done that as well. And it didn’t work out. But at the end of the day, it ends up being because Washington was paying them more money, apparently… I feel like Vince was a little more family-oriented when it came to those events. He wanted people to bring their kids out. And I don’t think he tried to take them for everything they could possibly pay. I think he tried to charge what he thought was fair, and he wanted to fill the house up.

I think these guys TKO is much more focused just on maximizing the profit and optimizing it to the highest level. [WrestlingNews]

A few months ago, news had surfaced that Vince McMahon was looking into buying back WWE from TKO, but that rumour stopped making headlines after TKO’s representatives confirmed that the company was not for sale.
