Stone Cold Steve Austin picked a returning WWE superstar for one last match

The last time The Texas Rattlesnake worked a match was back at WrestleMania 38 when he defeated Kevin Owens. Since then, while fans have speculated and asked for a return, he doesn’t feel he can live up to what fans are used to seeing him do.

As a perfectionist, Stone Cold Steve Austin doesn’t want to give a subpar performance to the WWE Universe.

However, even a retired superstar wants to return to the ring one last time.

Recently, The Texas Rattlesnake was asked about the one superstar he would like to face if he could return to the ring for a final match.

He chose a returning superstar who is one of WWE’s top names.

Brock Lesnar.

The duo haven’t had a sanctioned WWE match, but he did have a physical confrontation in March 2004 on SmackDown.

Lesnar’s last official WWE match was at SummerSlam 2023 where he lost a rubber match to Cody Rhodes. He recently returned at SummerSlam 2025 and turned heel on John Cena.
