The New WWE Show Eric Bischoff Thinks Is “Such A Cool Idea”
Eric Bischoff has expressed strong optimism about WWE’s upcoming reality series, Legends and Future Greats, which is set to premiere on A&E in early 2025.
During his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff praised the new series, along with WWE’s recent creative successes.
I know I sound like a WWE shill but I can’t help it, they’re doing so much good s**t. It’s hard not to be excited about it and put it over.
The series, referred to as WWE LFG, promises to feature legendary wrestling icons alongside rising stars, delivering a mix of nostalgia and fresh talent. Bischoff revealed that he was immediately impressed when he first heard about the concept.
When I first heard it over the phone, I knew three minutes in that it was a winner, and it just kept getting better and better and better.
Bischoff was quick to clarify that his praise comes from genuine excitement, not financial motivation.
No, I’m not under contract and I didn’t get paid to say that, but what I’m about to say I didn’t get paid for either. But that is such a cool idea.
The reality series marks another addition to WWE’s growing partnership with A&E. The collaboration has already produced hit shows like Biography: WWE Legends and WWE Rivals, which have been well-received by fans.
Why Did Eric Bischoff Say He Isn’t Surprised WWE Is Planning To Run Less Live Shows In 2025?
Eric Bischoff spoke about why he isn’t shocked that WWE is planning to trim down its live show schedule for 2025 with plans to only run around 200 live events, which is a big drop from the close to 300 events that were run in 2023. Bischoff said that he wasn’t surprised by this news as when he worked as director of SmackDown in 2019 there were talks of reducing the number of live shows due to them not being profitable.
