The Late WWE Superstar Who “Knocked Out” A Movie Star On Raw

The Late WWE Superstar Who

Jackass star Steve-O shared an intense story of being knocked out by the late WWE Superstar Umaga during an appearance on WWE Raw on October 16, 2006.

Steve-O, alongside fellow Jackass star Chris Pontius, was promoting their second film, “Jackass Number Two,” which had recently topped the box office. Recalling the event in a video on his YouTube channel, Steve-O stated:

When we were on Monday Night Raw, this was 2006 and Jackass Number Two had just come out. It was number one in the box office. I was like heinously on drugs. I remember walking through it and being really fascinated to see how much preparation goes into one of these matches. So Umaga comes into the ring, and I’m gonna show off by performing a backflip, I had no confidence that I was gonna land it, and I stomped it so perfect. That’s one of the best backflips I think I ever did in my life.

Steve-O then described how things took a turn for the worse when he failed to follow the planned instructions to stay down after a planned move. This oversight led to a legitimate beating as Umaga had to make the segment appear authentic.

It was not f**king fake. Umaga kicked me like hard there, and I’m like, ‘Wait a second. Hold on, what are you doing?’ and this right here [a chop] you can hear it. So now the match is supposed to be over, but I don’t know that I have to play dead, so I keep moving around and like he’s not done beating me up, now he’s gonna hit me with the f**king elbow that actually knocked me into a blackout.

Despite being in severe pain, Steve-O remembered pleading with Umaga to stop. However, since he was still moving, Umaga had to continue the assault until the show cut to a commercial break.

Now I’m like begging him, I’m like, ‘Please, stop doing this to me.’ But that means that he has to keep doing it because I’m moving around. I don’t remember leaving the ring, and then they just cut to a commercial.
