The Hardys Want WWE Gold They’ve Never Held
The Hardys aren’t done just yet.
At NXT Roadblock, The Hardys put their TNA World Tag Team Titles on the line against NXT Tag Team Champions Axiom and Nathan Frazer.
When all was said and done, Matt and Jeff earned the win after being forced to dig extremely deep into the banks of experience. The victory was certainly an eye-catching one, with many fans wondering whether the two teams will dance one more time, this time for Faxiom’s titles.
As it turns out, The Hardys are asking the same question.
The Hardys Want More Gold
In a backstage interview with Sarah Schreiber, Jeff praised Frazer and Axiom before questioning whether he and Matt are now in line for an NXT Tag Team Title shot.
“I think I have a statement and a question. Their human hearts are more like rocket boosters, that’s the fastest team I’ve ever been in the ring with.
And my question is, do we get a shot at the NXT Tag Titles now?”
Matt also praised the NXT Tag Team Champions while suggesting their next match should be for the titles they’ve never held.
“I was gonna say. They’re incredible. I cannot put them over enough, they are amazing and they are the NXT Tag Team Champions for very specific reasons, because they’re incredible. But tonight we were defending the TNA World Tag Team Titles and we were able to retain them, but we did beat them. Unfortunately the NXT titles weren’t on the line.
Maybe next time, the NXT titles will be on the line, because that is something the Hardys do not have on their list of gold.”
Away from NXT, Jeff Hardy is set to challenge for the X-Division Championship at TNA Sacrifice. On the February 27 episode of Impact! it was announced that Hardy will face Moose in a Ladder Match on March 14.
The match will mark the first time Hardy has challenged for the X-Division Championship since Bound For Glory 2013. Despite his multiple stints with the company, it’s only the second time Hardy has ever competed for the title.
