The Hardys Set For Major Title Match Against WWE Team
The Hards had an underwhelming run in AEW, but ever since they landed in TNA, they’ve been killing it.
One of the biggest highlights of their recent run was snagging the NXT Tag Team Championship at NXT vs. TNA Showdown on October 7, 2025. They beat DarkState (Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin) in a winners-take-all match.
It was a pretty significant win because they made history by winning a WWE tag title while not being under a WWE contract. But their reign was short-lived.
On October 25, 2025, at Halloween Havoc, they lost the NXT Tag Team Championship back to DarkState in a high-stakes Broken Rules match, wrapping up their 18-day run.
The Hardys also had a special match recently where they faced off against Team 3D (Dudley Boyz) in what turned out to be Team 3D’s final match on October 12, 2025, at TNA’s Bound For Glory event, held at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts.
The match was a brutal tables clash for both the TNA and NXT Tag Team Championship. The Hardys pulled off the win. After the match, Team 3D handed their boots to The Hardys, officially retiring the iconic tag team and passing the torch to them.
It was recently announced that The Hardys are set to defend the TNA World Tag Team Titles again soon, with a big match scheduled against WWE NXT tag team Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe at TNA Final Resolution on December 5, 2025.

The Hardys Want To Be WWE Hall Of Famers
Matt and Jeff Hardy are currently signed to TNA, but they’ve expressed a desire to return to WWE for one final run before they cap off their wrestling journey. Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt revealed that he and his brother, Jeff, are eyeing a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame.
“I think we would like to do something proper to wind things down. And we’ve said this a couple of times in WWE, and then maybe off into the sunset and do the Hall of Fame. I would want to do the TNA and the WWE Hall of Fame, and I think Jeff would as well.”
