The Hardys Reject AAA Offer For Very Good Reason
Several TNA & WWE stars are heading to AAA but The Hardys have rejected the offer.
Back on May 6, it was announced by Latin Lover that Angel and Berto will be in action at AAA’s Triplemania Regia event on June 15 in Monterrey. The event is not to be confused with Triplemania, which is due to take place on August 16 in Mexico City.
The news came in the weeks after WWE announced it had acquired AAA during WrestleMania 41. While the deal won’t be officially confirmed until the third quarter of 2025, crossover between the two companies is only expected to increase in the coming months.
Through WWE’s partnership with TNA, several stars from that promotion were also announced for Triplemania Regia, but neither Matt Hardy nor Jeff Hardy will be there for a very good reason.
The Hardys Not Going To AAA
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Matt and Jeff Hardy were originally asked to be part of the show, but a prior commitment stopped that from happening:
Joe Hendry, The Nemeth brothers, Angel & Berto, and Moose [will be there]. I mentioned a couple of weeks ago about The Hardys. The situation was that they did in fact ask for The Hardys, at one point, that was the thing they were told it was okay. But when The Hardys found out the date and were asked, they had an autograph session planned for that day, so it ended up that they’re not gonna be there.
Meltzer noted that he believed The Hardys had been paid half upfront for their autograph signing, which is why they might have been so reluctant to pull out.
