The Elite Reportedly To Return At Full Gear

The Elite AEW

A new report has pointed to when The Elite might now reappear in person on AEW television with the trio featured in another vignette on Dynamite.

Prior to Dynamite in Boston, there were rumours that Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks were set to return to the show following their suspension but that did not prove to be the case.

The first-ever AEW Trios Champions were stripped of the title they won at All Out and suspended from the company for their part in the alleged fight that took place after that pay-per-view that also involved CM Punk.

With less than two weeks to the company’s next pay-per-view, Full Gear, which will take place in Newark, New Jersey, it now looks like those that want to see The Elite return will have to pay for the privilege.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer has stated that he believes The Elite will now return in Newark, and the vignettes that are being aired are guiding viewers to that possibility without explicitly stating it:

“They’ll be back in Newark. It was totally geared to tell you that this is – so I don’t think they’re gonna be on TV next week and I don’t know if we’re gonna have a six-man tag title match because there was nothing to hint at that. It felt to me like the thing with Bray Wyatt or with CM Punk where we’re building up to we’re not gonna tell you they’re there but you all know they’re gonna be there type of a thing. They just kept showing the Prudential Center in all those clips.”

Full Gear is shaping up to be a big show for AEW with Saraya now announced for her return to the ring for the first time in almost five years.
