The Coach – “I Will Never Go Back To WWE”
‘The Coach’ Jonathan Coachman has confirmed via Twitter that he will never return to WWE.
In response to a fan’s question about whether he’d consider a return, The Coach concisely replied, “I will never go back to the WWE”, before another fan asked whether there was “beef” leading the former commentator to reply:
“No. I am just having fun doing what I am doing now. And want to work for companies where respect goes both ways. And I am doing that now. That’s it.”

The former RAW announcer – now working with NBC following a lengthy run at ESPN – responded to another disappointed fan who had said they had enjoyed his work in WWE, replying, “Thank you. I had a blast doing it. I really did.”
Coachman worked in WWE from 1999 until 2008, before returning almost a decade later. In 2016, The Coach would return to WWE at a live event in Madison Square Garden before appearing during several segments at RAW 25. In January 2018, The Coach officially re-signed with the company and joined the RAW commentary team alongside Michael Cole and Corey Graves, replacing Booker T. A mere eight months later, however, Coachman would depart the role – but appeared on several pay-per-view pre-show panels following the switch which saw Renee Young take over on commentary.
