The Bloodline Screw Jey Uso Out Of WWE Gold

Jey Uso WWE Intercontinental Champion

Jey Uso delighted fans when he captured the WWE Intercontinental Championship but he can thank family matters for no longer holding that gold.

Jey Uso overcame a triple threat match and a fatal four-way bout to earn his right to challenge the hugely impressive Bron Breakker for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Breakker won the gold at SummerSlam when he defeated Uso’s old partner and rival Sami Zayn.

On Raw in Ontario, CA, Jey Uso had the whole crowd behind him as he delivered a Uso Splash to defeat Bron Breakker and win the WWE Intercontinental Title for the very first time.

However, Breakker made clear he wanted his title back and despite shaking Uso’s hand after their title match, the former champion attacked Uso in the following weeks. A rematch was set for the 21st of October edition of Raw in Philadelphia, it was “no yeet” as a new champion was crowned.

Family Issues Cost Jey Uso WWE Title

Jey Uso is a wanted man in WWE as Jimmy Uso looks to bring his family back together to combat The Bloodline. Uso has resisted that as bad blood remains between himself and Roman Reigns but on SmackDown Jey Uso did confront The Bloodline as he asked Solo Sikoa not to split up the family.

Sikoa did not heed that request and Uso paid the price on Raw as The Bloodline interfered in his title match, despite Sikoa telling his older brother that he was there to help. Jacob Fatu, however, was not, and after he dropped Uso on the announce desk with a Samoan drop, Bron Breakker threw the champion back in the ring to hit his spear for the win to become a two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion.
