The Bloodline To Defend WWE Tag Team Titles In Massive Gimmick Match

WWE The Bloodline Tag Team Champions

The Bloodline will have to defend the WWE Tag Team Titles against two teams in a huge gimmick match on Smackdown.

It was on the August 2nd edition of WWE Smackdown when The Bloodline’s Tama Tonga & Jacob Fatu defeated #DIY’s Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa to become the WWE Tag Team Champions.

In the weeks that followed, Solo Sikoa took the Tag Team Title from his enforcer Jacob Fatu and put it on Tonga Loa. That means that the brother duo of Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa are the Tag Team Champions representing The Bloodline.

Since becoming Tag Team Champions, The Bloodline has been making enemies with other tag teams on the Smackdown brand. They even showed up at NXT to cost The Street Profits in a match where they challenged for the NXT Tag Team Titles held by Axiom & Nathan Frazer.

Due to The Bloodline causing so much chaos, SmackDown’s General Manager Nick Aldis announced that the October 4th edition of Smackdown from Nashville (which is where Aldis lives) will see Tama & Loa defend their titles in a triple threat Ladder Match against The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) and #DIY’s Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa.
