AEW Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed took a sly dig at D-Generation X on Dynamite as Billy Gunn celebrated his birthday on the show.
Everyone loves The Acclaimed, everyone loves Daddy Ass, so everyone in Baltimore for Dynamite was excited to celebrate ‘Daddy Ass’s Birthday Bash’ live on the show.
Max Caster and Anthony Bowens through a party for Billy Gunn, complete with gifts of foam finger scissors so that despite the attack on his hands, the call of “Scissor me Daddy Ass” could still be answered. There was also the gift of a ‘World’s Greatest Daddy’ trophy and a certificate of adoption for Billy Gunn to formally become The Acclaimed’s legal daddy.
However, Anthony Bowens did draw attention to the last of attendees to the birthday bash and told Billy Gunn that two of his friends had cancelled last minute and that the rest were mad that he missed the reunion. The reunion in question was the DX reunion which occurred a few weeks ago on WWE Raw that Gunn was originally scheduled for.
His former tag team partner Road Dogg expressed that Triple H was “not happy” that Gunn ended up not making it with talks between AEW and WWE over the appearance seemingly breaking down.
The birthday bash ended with Billy Gunn’s actual children Austin and Colten Gunn along with W. Morrissey attacking The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn until FTR made the save.
