The 1 Country Cody Rhodes Hopes Gets A WWE PLE
Cody Rhodes has named the one country he wants to see host a WWE premium live event after an eye-opening experience there.
Since the WWE takeover by Endeavor was completed in September 2023, the company seems to have fully embraced its role as a global touring company. In 2024 alone, WWE has held premium live events in Australia, France, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, and Canada as well as the US with its next show set for Berlin, Germany on the 31st of August.
But Cody Rhodes wants to see another European country get its chance to shine…or he just wants another slice of la dolce vita.

WWE held an untelevised live event in Bologna, Italy in May 2024 as part of a European tour in the run-up to Backlash France. The Bologna show saw Rhodes defeat Shinsuke Nakamura and the people clearly left a big impression on The American Nightmare.
Speaking on Gabby AF, Cody Rhodes noted that he hopes WWE can take a premium live event to Italy in the future although he does caution that the decision won’t be down to him:
I really hope that Italy gets a WWE….we did a show in Italy, a live event. They were, if people saw Scotland, Scotland was outrageous. If people saw France, France was outrageous.
I wish people got to see what Italy was like. I didn’t know what we were walking into. I didn’t even know if we were on TV in Italy. They would be a great place for a PLE. I make no decisions and can’t get anything done, but that was a really cool experience.
