Tessa Blanchard Clarifies TNA Wrestling Status Following Shock Return

Tessa Blanchard TNA Return

After making a return to TNA Wrestling, Tessa Blanchard has spoken about if she has signed a deal with the company.

Tessa Blanchard made a shocking return to TNA Wrestling at Final Resolution when she attacked top star Jordynne Grace. Blanchard arrived at ringside in a hoody and outfit that covered her body. After the attack, Blanchard revealed herself to the world.

During her previous TNA run, Blanchard was a former TNA World Champion and TNA Knockouts Champion. However, her career has also been full of controversy.

In 2020, Blanchard was accused of bullying and racism while also allegedly spitting at wrestler La Rosa Negra. There were accusations that Blanchard used a racial slur that was heard by many other people. Blanchard’s actions infuriated a lot of people. Three years later in 2023, La Rosa Negra shared a photo with Blanchard to show she had forgiven Blanchard what happened in the past.

Since the reported incident between Blanchard and La Rosa Negra, American wrestling companies have stayed away from Blanchard until now. It was reported by multiple outlets that Blanchard had signed a deal to return to TNA although the terms of the deal were never reported

Blanchard spoke with Contralona following her appearance at TNA Final Resolution and claimed that she is not signed with anyone.

“That was a tough decision for me because I have a lot of respect for CMLL and I love everything about that company. They helped me a lot in helping getting in touch with other companies so I’m grateful for that. I am not signed with anyone, including TNA and CMLL.

My eyes are now in Jordynne Grace because her locker room in TNA previously had my name on it with a lot of stories I had there. I see Grace’s career being in the up and up but I feel that if I was in TNA of all the past year, she would not have this success. That is why I wanted to return, because I wanted to prove this was still my locker room.”

It’s possible that Tessa Blanchard is being a heel character who won’t admit that she is signed, or perhaps it’s just a verbal commitment for a specific amount of time.

Tessa Blanchard Wants To Prove She Is The Best In The World

By targeting former Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace in TNA, Tessa Blanchard has a specific goal in mind.

“Right now, my goal is to get a singles match with Grace to prove who is the best wrestler in the world. I had a lot of matches against men, women and have always won multiple championships and tourneys so. I have a lot of confidence in my wrestling that I can say I am the best in the world.”

In response to Blanchard’s return, Grace said that TNA bringing Tessa back is a huge mistake although that’s also a comment that could be in character since Grace is set for a feud with Blanchard moving forward.
