Ted DiBiase Declares Who He Would Have Liked To Wrestle From Today’s Era
On a recent edition of his “Everybody’s Got A Pod” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase was asked about who he would like to wrestle from today’s era if he was still wrestling.
While DiBiase admitted he doesn’t watch much current wrestling, he was quick to pinpoint one of the top WWE stars he would have liked to share the ring with.
Probably Cody Rhodes. There’s a guy that can work, and you know why he can work? Because of where he came from. He learned a lot from watching his father (Dusty Rhodes)… just like I did from watching my father. Heck, I learned a lot from watching Cody’s dad!
Ted DiBiase’s son Ted DiBiase Jr. was formerly the tag partner of Cody Rhodes early in his WWE career. Ted DiBiase (Senior) also put high praise on Cody’s father, the late Dusty Rhodes.
I was still in college the first time I met Dusty and Dick Murdoch, who were a tag team, but Dusty was just great. He could do it in the ring, and he could do it on the microphone, he could do it all. He was really really great, much admired.
Ted DiBiase also picked out another top WWE star he rated very highly, whose roots have also been with the wrestling business since a young age.
Another guy is Randy Orton, who just like me grew up in the business, whose father (Cowboy Bob Orton) was a wrestler and was very good. And he’s very good. I would put Randy in that discussion too, I would love to wrestle him if I could.
