Talent In The Dark On WWE Raw Changes
Some details around Raw’s move to Netflix remain unclear.
On January 6th, 2025, WWE Raw will move to Netflix as part of a monster new deal between the sports entertainment giant and the streaming platform. To celebrate the move, WWE is pulling out all the stops, but it seems some details are yet to be determined.
In October, Raw moved back to being two hours instead of three after the company’s original agreement with the USA Network ended. This sparked speculation that the show could continue to be two hours when it moves to Raw.
It was then announced that SmackDown will expand to three hours from January 3rd. So what does that mean for the red brand?
WWE Talent Still Uncertain
According to a new report from Fightful Select, talent is unsure how long Raw will be come January 6th. One source noted that Netflix has no hard outs so there will be plenty of flexibility when it comes to timing.
The episode is set to be headlined by the match between Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns. The bout will be fought under Tribal Combat rules. WWE is reportedly considering creating a new championship for the occasion where the winner would be awarded the Tribal Chief Championship.
Elsewhere, Seth Rollins will finally get his hands on CM Punk when the pair meet one-on-one. The company will also crown the first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
The episode is expected to feature appearances from the likes of John Cena, The Rock, and potentially Stone Cold Steve Austin.
