Sympathy In WWE For Bayley After WWE WrestleMania Removal

Bayley WWE

Bayley has been pulled from WrestleMania.

At night two of WrestleMania 41, Bayley was scheduled to challenge Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the Women’s Tag Team Titles alongside Lyra Valkyria.

The pair won their way into the number one contender spot after winning a Gauntlet Match on the April 11 edition of SmackDown. Three days later, Bayley picked up a win over Morgan on Raw, but revenge came quickly.

On the countdown show ahead of night one, Bayley was attacked backstage, although Morgan and Rodriguez denied they were involved. As a result, the former Women’s Champion has been pulled from WrestleMania, with Valkyria given 24 hours to find a replacement.

The WrestleMania card has already undergone several late changes, with Kevin Owens missing thanks to a neck injury, while Rey Mysterio suffered an injury on SmackDown before the event.

With Owens out, Randy Orton will host an open challenge on night two, and Rey Fenix stepped in for Mysterio on night one.

Locker Room Sympathy For Bayley

As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, despite being pulled from the show, Bayley isn’t injured, and the change had been planned for several weeks.

The shock switch has been met with sympathy in the locker room as the star is particularly highly regarded.

While there’s been no official confirmation, many expect Becky Lynch to team with Valkyria against Morgan and Rodriguez. Ahead of night one, it was reported that Lynch would be physically involved in the weekend in some capacity.

Before Bayley began teaming with Valkyria, Lynch had been linked with the spot, but she remained absent.

The Man hasn’t wrestled since losing to Liv Morgan in late May 2024, and just days later, she allowed her contract to expire. However, back in January, it was reported she had signed a new deal, and creative pitches were being made for WrestleMania.
