Swerve Strickland Set For Huge Match At AEW All Out
Swerve Strickland is going to be a busy man.
At All In at Wembley Stadium, Swerve Strickland will put his AEW World Championship on the line against Bryan Danielson. Strickland has held the title since Dynasty in April, but he’s about to face what many feel is his biggest challenge yet, against a man widely considered to be one of the all-time greats.
While the match wasn’t exactly struggling for intrigue, Danielson has recently confirmed that if he loses, he’ll retire.
Although Strickland is heading into the match at the top of his game, Bryan Danielson has admitted his “body is broken,” suggesting he’ll be facing an uphill challenge come August 25th.
Swerve Strickland To Meet A Familiar Face
Danielson earned his shot by winning the Owen Hart Cup with a stunning win over Hangman Adam Page. Although fans were happy to see the American Dragon get a chance to win the title he never held, many felt Page was the man who deserved the match with Strickland.
Page and Strickland have a rivalry stretching back 11 months, and across several brutal battles — not to mention a home invasion.
However, it seems plans to further the feud are very much in the works. According to a new report from Ibou of Wrestle Purists, another match is planned between the pair at All Out on September 7th.
Swerve Strickland vs. ‘Hangman’ Adam Page is currently planned for AEW All Out in Chicago.
Adam Page is yet to be announced for a match at All In, with many observers suggesting he could be part of the Casino Gauntlet match where the winner will earn a shot at the AEW World Title.
