Swerve Strickland Finds Out AEW Title Opponent For Dynasty

Swerve Strickland

After a wild brawl on Dynamite, Swerve Strickland now knows who he will challenge for the AEW World Championship at Dynasty.

At Revolution, Swerve Strickland clashed with Ricochet in a match where the winner would become the next number one contender for the AEW World Championship at Dynasty. Strickland picked up the win and reclaimed Prince Nana’s robe from Ricochet in the process.

In the main event, Christian Cage crashed the AEW World Title match between Jon Moxley and Adam Copeland. Cage cost Copeland the win before signing the contract for his own title match turning things into a three way. However, Moxley was able to lock Cage in a bulldog choke that he eventually passed out from which meant Moxley retained the AEW World Championship.

But that didn’t mean Strickland knew who he’d be facing at Dynasty.

Swerve Strickland Taking On Jon Moxley

Due to Cage’s interference, a street fight between Jon Moxley and Adam Copeland for the AEW World Title was made for the March 19 edition of Dynamite with the AEW World Title on the line. The Death Riders, The Patriarchy, and FTR all got involved but the match will be remembered for one of the most gruesome moments seen in the ring.

Copeland introduced Spike, his nail-filled bat, and delivered a suplex to Moxley on the nails. The nails then became embedded in Jon Moxley’s back with Wheeler Yuta and the referee having to work together to get the bat out.

In the end, Jon Moxley managed to pick up the win as he choked Copeland out. This means Swerve Strickland will now challenge Moxley for the AEW World Championship at Dynasty on April 6.
