Swerve Strickland Claims AEW Moving To FOX

Swerve Strickland AEW

Swerve Strickland has all but confirmed that AEW will be heading to FOX in the near future as the company seeks to send shockwaves through the wrestling business.

For months speculation has run rampant over AEW’s future on TBS and TNT as its US rights deal came up for renewal. Tony Khan has all but confirmed a new deal has been completed with Warner Brothers Discovery but another deal with another broadcaster also seems to be in play.

AEW raised eyebrows when a new trademark for “Shockwave” was filed amid rumours that the company was in talks over a deal with FOX. WWE SmackDown’s five-year deal with FOX has now come to an end leaving the broadcaster with no pro wrestling to show.

Although one report has suggested no deal has been signed between FOX and AEW, it seems the move is coming according to former AEW World Champion, Swerve Strickland.

Swerve Strickland Says AEW Going To FOX

Speaking on the QUEENZFLIP YouTube channel, Swerve Strickland seemed to reveal that AEW is on its way to FOX now WWE has vacated the network:

We’re about to move. We’re about to get on FOX. SmackDown is leaving FOX. And then we’re taking FOX…TNT, TBS, and FOX. We got all three of them things. Tony Khan lets me do whatever the f*** I want. He owns the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Swerve Strickland clearly caught the eye of an ex-WWE star who has debuted in AEW and now it seems Strickland will have big choices to make in the very near future.
