Swerve Strickland Accepts AEW Challenge As New Star Looms

Swerve Strickland AEW

Swerve Strickland is ready to get back in the ring in AEW and has issued a warning for MVP and Shelton Benjamin.

At All Out Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page unnerved fans with their latest blood-soaked clash. The match saw the pair utilise just about every weapon imaginable, and that was before Page put a hypodermic needle through his rival’s cheek which led to Strickland taking some much-needed time off to recover.

In Strickland’s absence, MVP made his debut in AEW confronting Prince Nana suggesting Strickland’s recent failures have been down to his management. MVP followed up by introducing Shelton Benjamin to AEW as he looks to build his Hurt Syndicate in the company.

Swerve Strickland returned to AEW at WrestleDream where he came face-to-face with MVP and Shelton Benjamin. But rather than accept their invitation, Strickland told them that he wouldn’t turn his back on family siding with Prince Nana.

Swerve Strickland Ready For Shelton Benjamin

On Dynamite in San Jose, Shelton Benjamin picked up his first win in AEW as he defeated Lio Rush but both he and MVP had Strickland on their mind. MVP issued a challenge and Strickland was more than happy to accept, warning that if they target him they better not miss.

The match was made official by AEW meaning Swerve Strickland and Shelton Benjamin will clash on Fright Night Dynamite on October 30th.

Many fans are waiting for the rumoured AEW debut of Bobby Lashley. Lashley’s first AEW appearance has already been delayed and this match being made could signal the time and place of the former WWE Champion’s introduction to Tony Khan’s company.
