Swerve Strickland & Adam Page Shockingly Team Up For Huge AEW Match
Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page are putting their substantial hatred for one another in the past, for one night only, at least.
Swerve Strickland and Adam Page have gone to war in AEW on a number of occasions. Things began to spiral between the two when Strickland invaded Page’s home, hovering over his baby son’s crib while Page wasn’t there. This led to an irate Page burning down Strickland’s childhood home, which he had apparently just bought back due to his success as AEW World Champion.
That led to four progressively more violent one-on-one matches between the pair in 2023 and 2024, leading up to Page defeating Strickland in a Lights Out Steel Cage match at All Out 2024. Page impaled Strickland’s cheek with a hypodermic needle during the bout before knocking his head off with a vicious chair shot.
However, time is a great healer. With Jon Moxley and the Death Riders holding the AEW World Championship hostage for months on end, several stars rallied around to support Page when he had the chance to win the gold at All In Texas. Swerve Strickland put his issues with Page to one side and handed his hated rival the chain that he used to hang Moxley and win the gold.
Swerve Strickland Offers Adam Page A Helping Hand
Strickland was taken out of action by Kazuchika Okada at 2025’s Forbidden Door, but he returned at Full Gear after Samoa Joe had captured the AEW World Title from Adam Page. Joe initially thought Strickland was back to pick the bones, but instead, he took the fight to Joe and The Opps.
Now, on the December 6th edition of Collision, Swerve Strickland has revealed that he’s going one step further and will team up with Adam Page at Winter Is Coming to take on The Opps’ pairing of Katsuyori Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs.
