Surprising Twist Helps Heels Win WarGames Match At WWE Survivor Series

Brock Lesnar and The Vision WWE

This year’s edition of WWE Survivor Series was an extremely entertaining affair from start to finish. Until the main event, the entire show had kept the fans hooked throughout. Stephanie Vaquer retained her World Title against Nikki Bella, and John Cena lost his Intercontinental Championship match after some major interference from a returning Liv Morgan.

The Women’s WarGames match set the tone well for the night with the opening bout, and it was up to the men’s side to end the show on a high note. The Men’s WarGames match at this year’s Survivor Series was arguably the biggest WarGames match in the company’s history, as several of the promotion’s top stars competed in this year’s match.

Not only were both the WWE and World Heavyweight Champions involved in the match, but former World Champions like Brock Lesnar, Jey Uso, and the OTC, Roman Reigns, all competed in it, making it an extremely star-packed match.

World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk was the first person to enter the match tonight and got the ball rolling against The Vision’s Bron Breakker. Both wrestlers seemed very evenly matched in the early stages of the match as both of them tried to one-up the other. Five minutes into the match, Breakker was joined by Punk’s long-term rival, Drew McIntyre.

WWE Survivor Series ends with The Vision’s team standing tall

McIntyre and Logan Paul teamed up to win the advantage match for their side this past week on Monday Night RAW. Drew’s introduction turned the tide completely in favor of the heels. Cody Rhodes became the fourth entrant in the match, but was stopped from entering through the door. He climbed on top of the cage and jumped onto Drew to even the odds.

Punk and Cody combined well with each other to restore some balance for their side, but it didn’t last long as Logan Paul joined the proceedings soon after. The heels completely incapacitated Punk and Rhodes before Jimmy Uso entered the ring. He introduced a table into the match and immediately took it to the heels, but was quickly put down by a Claymore kick from McIntyre.

Things went from bad to worse for the faces as Bronson Reed entered the match next and immediately hit Tsunamis on all three members of the opposing team present in the ring. The numbers advantage was working well for The Vision and Drew McIntyre before Jey Uso entered and lit a fire under his team as they took control of the match.

Brock Lesnar was the last person to join the heels’ side and wreaked havoc inside the WarGames structure as he hit a barrage of suplexs and F5s. He single-handedly took out all four members of the team and was the only one standing when Roman Reigns made his way to the ring.

He met Reigns outside of the cage and was hit by three Superman punches from the OTC before putting him through the announce table with an F5. He pushed a weakened Reigns inside the ring to officially begin the match and hit him with another F5 before going for a pin, which was broken by Cody Rhodes.

Paul Heyman made his presence known as well, as he handed Logan’s trademark brass knuckles to him, and he took out both Cody and Jimmy with them before Roman took hold of them. He hit both Bronson Reed and Drew with a Superman Punch with the knuckles. He was about to hit Brock with the same, but improvised at the last second to spear him through a table.

There was more drama in store in the match as a hooded figure climbed the cage to enter the ring and hit Punk with Seth Rollins’ finisher, The Stomp, and climbed out. Bron Breakker took advantage of the situation and hit Punk with a Spear to win the match for his side.
