Surprising New Details Emerge About R-Truth’s Unexpected WWE Exit

R-Truth

R-Truth’s release from WWE has been a shocking news to the fans, and to the pro-wrestling industry in general.

The WWE veteran’s last big feud was against John Cena, and the duo had a high-profile match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24, 2025.

Following that, Truth faced JC Mateo, but little did anyone that it would be his final WWE appearance.

WWE had supposedly offered R-Truth a new contract

The 53-year-old had taken to social media to announce his departure from the company. He expressed his gratitude to the fans and the wrestling juggernaut, and received an immense amount of support from the fandom and the roster.

On an episode of Behind The Turnbuckle Studios, Coach and Vince Russo discussed the value that he brought to the ring. In that conversation, Coach revealed that R-Truth was provided with a new contract, but he decided to turn it down.

I should put this out there because I had somebody reach out to me and reportedly, and I have no confirmed this, but reportedly they did offer R-Truth a contract that was far less money than what he was making and he decided to turn that down.

Apart from R-Truth, even Carlito has been released from WWE. The former Judgment Day member had taken to social media to announce his departure from the company.

Fans had dominated the latest episode of Monday Night RAW with chants for both former superstars, but WWE has made no mention of them.
