Surprising Name Makes AEW History On Collision
A young AEW star has made history.
In recent weeks, pressure has been building inside The Patricarchy, but through it all, the group has continued to enjoy a level of success.
On the April 17 edition of Colliison, Nick Wayne challenged and defeated Komander to claim the ROH World Television Championship with the Prodigyplex.
With victory, Wayne became the youngest wrestler to ever hold a singles championship in either Ring of Honor or AEW. The 19-year-old has previously held championship gold, having held the World Trios Title with Killswitch and Christian Cage back in 2014.
Shock Return On AEW Collision
Elsewhere on the show, Trent made a surprise return on the show to attack Tomohiro Ishii.
At the taping, Rocky Romero teamed with Ishii to take on Josh Alexander and Konosuke Takeshita. During the match, Romero became increasingly frustrated, eventually dropping to the floor, leaving Ishii to be pinned by Alexander and Takeshita.
After the match, Romero initially helped Ishii to his feet before being joined by a hooded figure. That figure was revealed to be Trent, who helped Romero beat down his tag team partner, eventually smashing him with a wrench.
Trent had been out of action for nine months after undergoing neck surgery.
