Surprising Brock Lesnar Update Ahead Of WWE Raw

WWE Brock Lesnar

At Backlash, Brock Lesnar finally went one-on-one with Cody Rhodes after shockingly attacking the star on the night after WrestleMania 39.

Lesnar had initially come to The American Nightmare’s aid as he sought a tag team match with Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa but before that bout could commence, The Beast Incarnate struck, picking apart Rhodes in a brutal and sustained attack.

Cody Rhodes gained a measure of revenge at Backlash in a bout that saw Lesnar busted open late on when the exposed turnbuckle split Lesnar’s head. Despite this, Lesnar kept up the attack, locking Rhodes into the Kimura submission but Rhodes used his leverage to roll his opponent up for the three-count and the win.

Now PWInsider has reported that Brock Lesnar is not scheduled to be a part of television for Raw in Jacksonville, Florida, or SmackDown in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Despite his apparent absence from Raw, another report has suggested that Brock Lesnar will still be involved with Cody Rhodes moving forwards. Rhodes will be involved in the tournament to crown a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion on Raw and with many feeling that Rhodes is still the man to dethrone Roman Reigns, there was an expectation that Lesnar could get involved and cost Rhodes his chance to claim that title.

UPDATE: A few hours after we posted this, PWInsider Elite is now reporting that Lesnar will be on Raw tonight. Find out on Raw to see what happens.
