Surprising AEW Star Has Signed A New Deal
One member of the House of Black is staying in AEW.
Buddy Matthews has been All Elite since February 2022. The former WWE star immediately aligned himself with Malakai Black in the House of Black and has remained part of the faction ever since.
There have been rumours in the past that Buddy Matthews wanted to head back to WWE when his contract was up, not least because his fiancee, Rhea Ripley, works for the promotion. However, Ibou of WrestlePurists has now poured cold water on that speculation, saying the star has actually signed a new deal with AEW.

House Of Black Seemingly Sends Message To AEW Trios Champions
On AEW Collision in Arlington, Texas, Christian Cage and The Patriarchy faced The Bang Bang Gang for the Trios Titles. The championships were vacated after Jay White suffered a foot injury and Christopher Daniels refused to allow Juice Robinson to take his place with the gold.
Towards the end of the match, Cage distracted referee Bryce Remsburg long enough for Mother Wayne to jump up on the apron and spray a substance in Robinson’s eyes. This allowed Cage to hit the Killswitch for the victory.
Afterwards, Christian celebrated by holding all three title belts up while being carried on Killswitch’s shoulders. During the celebration, the lights began flickering, with many believing this means that the House of Black are coming for the titles they first held back in 2023.
