Huge Streak vs Title Match Made For AEW Dynamite 6th Anniversary

Tony Khan AEW

AEW Dynamite’s 6th anniversary is just around the corner, and a major title match has been confirmed for that show.

It was on October 2nd 2019, that the wrestling world changed forever when AEW Dynamite debuted. On that night, Cody Rhodes won the first match on the show when he defeated Sammy Guevara. That show also saw Riho crowned as the inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion when she defeated Nyla Rose. By the end of the night, it was Chris Jericho who proved the big winner as he formed the Inner Circle with Guevara, Santana, Ortiz, and Jake Hager as they left The Elite lying in the ring.

Tony Khan has confirmed three matches for the 6th anniversary edition of Dynamite that will take place in Hollywood, Florida, on October 1st. Hangman Adam Page was in action on that first edition of Dynamite, and he’ll be in action on the 6th anniversary show as he teams with Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs to face the Death Riders.

AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander finally rejected the Death Riders’ advances when she laid out Wheeler Yuta with a clothesline. Now Statlander will team with Darby Allin in a mixed tag team match against Marina Shafir and Yuta.

AEW Title Going Up Against Undefeated Streak

The third match confirmed for the show will see Kyle Fletcher defend his TNT Championship against the undefeated Hologram. Hologram is 34-0 in AEW since debuting in the company in July 2024. Fletcher issued the challenge to Hologram on the September 24th edition of Dynamite as he looked to bounce back from failing to win the AEW Men’s World Championship at All Out.

That match will be dependent on Fletcher successfully defending his title against Komander on the September 27th edition of Collision.
