WWE Legend Stone Cold Steve Austin Debunks Personal Rumor

The Texas Rattlesnake recently cleared the air on a rumor about his beer-drinking

Stone Cold Steve Austin and beer go hand-in-hand in WWE. Austin was no stranger to guzzling down cans of beer, which he would clash together in celebration after matches or segments.

The 13-time WWE Champion would also frequently have entertaining beer bashes, where he would celebrate with other wrestlers on the roster and share his beers with them inside the ring, toasting to the audience.

He was also known to be a beer drinker outside of the ring and still maintains relations with some of his ex-colleagues. But he is also fit for his age, and one has to wonder how he manages to be in good shape and what his beer-drinking frequency looks like right now, especially with a recent rumor that he has stopped drinking beer altogether.

Stone Cold Responds To Rumor That He Doesn’t Drink Beer Anymore

Austin recently sat down with Chris Van Vliet for an in-depth conversation on the latter’s Insight podcast and was asked about his beer consumption. Van Vliet highlighted a rumor that Stone Cold has quit drinking beer completely, to which Austin said that he now picks and chooses carefully when to have beer, likening it to old-time wrestlers advising him to pick his spots and not take all the bumps in the ring.

Yes, I still drink beer, but it’s kind of like the old timers used to come up to you in the dressing room when you first started breaking into business, ‘Kid, you got to pick your spots, you don’t have to take all those bumps.’ So, yeah, these days you don’t need all those hangovers.

Stone Cold also said that he watches his diet pretty strictly.

You pick your spots. Friday night is kind of like I still eat, and watch what I eat pretty strictly. So Friday is usually my beer night when I’ll have a couple of IPAs, and that’s when I pick my spot.
