Sting’s “Gonna Have A Bunch Of Stitches” After Dynamite
Sting has long noted that his time in the ring is running out but The Icon is going out with anything but a whimper as he was part of a huge tag team main event on Dynamite.
Sting teamed with Darby Allin and Tetsuya Naito at Forbidden Door to defeat the Suzuki Gods trio of Sammy Guevara, Chris Jericho, and Minoru Suzuki. At the post-show media scrum, Chris Jericho was infuriated at the loss and caused a scene as he challenged the WWE Hall of Famer and Darby Allin to a Texas Tornado tag team bout.
That match took place on Dynamite in Hamilton, Ontario, and was a wild encounter. At one point Darby Allin set up a ladder in the ring as Sting placed Sammy Guevara on tables on the floor as he looked to launch himself onto his opponent with a daredevil dive.
However, the 64-year-old stopped Allin and instead launched himself off the ladder all the way to the floor sending Guevara through the table as payback for what happened at Forbidden Door.

The former WCW World Champion and Darby Allin picked up the win taking Sting’s AEW record to 17-0. After Dynamite went off the air, The Icon addressed the crowd and noted he’d likely need some stitches following his death-defying dive.
