Is Sting Still Part Of AEW Following Retirement?
Sting is still making his presence felt at AEW shows even though he’s not appearing on camera.
During his incredible three-year run in All Elite Wrestling, WWE & TNA Hall of Famer Sting amassed a record of 29-0 in AEW and retired as one half of the Tag Team Champions.
What was unique about Sting’s in-ring career in AEW is that every one of those matches was a tag team match while every match had Darby Allin as his partner or as one of his partners in a few cases.
The last match that Sting had was at AEW Revolution back in March when he and Allin teamed up to beat The Young Bucks in a Tornado Tag Team Match that many people raved about after it was over.
Since retiring, Sting hasn’t appeared on television, but Fightful Select reports that the legendary Stinger has been at recent AEW shows. Darby Allin has revealed as much in some recent interviews.
It was noted by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp that Sting has been backstage at some of the recent AEW/ROH tapings in Texas since he lives in the state. Sting was there visiting with friends and even surprised Darby Allin by watching one of his matches on Collision.
