Steve Austin’s Key Guidance To Former WWE Superstar

Steve Austin's Key Guidance To Former WWE Superstar

Former WWE superstar Enzo Amore, also known as Eric Arndt, recently shared pivotal advice he received from WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin during an interview on ‘WSI – Wrestling Shoot Interviews‘.

Reflecting on his wrestling career, Amore recounted his transition to the main roster and the guidance Steve Austin offered him ahead of a main event on Monday Night Raw in 2017.

Steve Austin said, ‘DTA is a shoot kid – don’t trust anybody boy. Get changed by yourself, hide out, don’t talk to the boys, ride alone…. If you get to the top, you got to stay at the top – DTA is a shoot’

This advice, drawn from Austin’s own experiences in the fiercely competitive wrestling world, underscored the importance of self-reliance and vigilance. Amore elaborated on the cutthroat nature of WWE.

He grew up in a cutthroat world, you know what I mean? He had to slit throats to get to where he wanted to be. You need to be a politician to get to the top in pro wrestling. You need to work with everyone and in order to have success in this business you need to get over with the people who matter, and that is the boys.

Amore also acknowledged the necessity of building relationships to ensure mutual respect and cooperation in the ring.

You think you’re going to go out there and Sheamus or Cesaro or Samoa Joe or AJ Styles are gonna sell for you Enzo and let you look good… it’s never gonna happen for you Enzo if you don’t get over with all of them.

Despite understanding these dynamics, Amore admitted his primary focus was career advancement.

When you’re me and you have Vince McMahon putting you in main events you’re kind of jaded. I’m not here to make friends, I’m here to make money.

Enzo Amore’s WWE career ended abruptly in 2018 due to legal issues, marking a significant turn in his professional journey.
