Steve Austin delivered a Stone Cold Stunner to Pat McAfee at WrestleMania 38.

Austin headlined WrestleMania 38 Night 1 in Dallas, Texas, by confronting Kevin Owens on a special “KO Show.”

Owens challenged him to an impromptu No Holds Barred match. The Texas Rattlesnake accepted and won the match, which was his first bout in 19 years since WrestleMania 19.

On Night 2, he made a surprise appearance following Pat McAfee vs. Austin Theory.

He stunned Theory, celebrated briefly with McAfee, then stunned McAfee and McMahon, cracking open beers to cap the chaotic segment in front of his home-state crowd.

Steve Austin: Pat McAfee’s Stunner Sell Was “Classic”

During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet on his Insight podcast, Stone Cold Steve Austin shared his thoughts on Pat McAfee’s stunner sell. He said:

“Oh, premiere. I don’t know what the kid’s (Austin Theory) doing now. Is he still in WWE? [He is]. Okay, yeah. Good kid. I mean, I thought, Man, the sky was the limit for him. He took a great one.

McAfee took a great one, just the fade back, money. And of course, when he tumbled out a ring, he was still drinking the beer while he’s laying on the mat. F*cking classic. What an entertainer. And he was thinking about it, you know, I knew his ad lib. He wasn’t planning that. It just happened, and it was straight money.”

In the same podcast, Austin was also asked why he and WWE chose Kevin Owens as his opponent for his match at Mania 38. Find out what he said here.
