Steve Austin Names Nicest Guy He’s Met In Hollywood
Steve Austin believes the nicest guy he’s met in Hollywood is one of the most well-known comedic actors of the last 30 years.
As a pro wrestler, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is a WWE Hall of Famer who is one of the most successful pro wrestlers ever due to how hot he was when he was at the top of WWE in the very successful Attitude Era.
After his in-ring career ended as a full-timer in 2003, Austin tried a lot of other things career-wise, including acting in many action movies and even some comedies.
The two movie roles that mainstream audiences might know Austin from the most are “The Longest Yard” and “Grown Ups 2.” Both films were led by comedy legend Adam Sandler.
During an appearance on Too Much Access, Austin praised Sandler heavily and called him the nicest guy he’s ever met in Hollywood.
“I always tell people, that’s the nicest guy I ever met in Hollywood. I didn’t do Hollywood, I lived in Marina Del Rey in the Venice area, so I didn’t go to parties, I didn’t go to the Hollywood Hills. I didn’t do none of that s**t, it wasn’t my scene. I was an athlete.”
“Those actors are a little different. I don’t mean that in a bad way, I just mean they’re different than an athlete, they’re wired different, or I’m wired differently than they are.”
“Adam Sandler was the funniest, nicest guy I’ve ever worked with, and I’ve enjoyed each time I’ve gotten to work with him. He’s a super guy, a sweetheart.”
In other Adam Sandler news related to pro wrestling, former AEW World Champion MJF has been cast as Sandler’s son in the “Happy Gilmore 2” movie that is filming now.
Steve Austin Made Controversial Comments On Vince McMahon’s Netflix Documentary
In the “Mr. McMahon” Netflix documentary covering Vince McMahon’s life and career, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin made some comments that upset a lot of people. During a section where they talked about Chris Benoit’s horrific double murder suicide of his wife and son, they spoke about how CTE affected his brain. CTE is chronic traumatic encephalopathy, a disease thought to be linked to repeated blows to the head and concussions. After Benoit’s death, his brain was studied and it was found that it was heavily damaged.
Steve Austin made these comments about how he didn’t believe in CTE.
“I worked for a long time, I got dropped on my head one time, I got concussed there. But other than that I can’t remember having too many concussions in the business of pro wrestling. My take on that has always been if you’re just wrestling and you got a bunch of concussions you’re probably doing something wrong. I’m not a CTE guy, I just don’t believe in it.”
As for his potential WWE future, Austin has made it clear he could appear at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas since it’s taking place in Nevada, which is the state he lives in.
