Steve Austin Doubles Down On His Picks For WWE Hall Of Fame

Steve Austin has recently reaffirmed his belief that a legendary act, which contains one somewhat controversial figure, belongs in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Back in 2021, both Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock responded to a post on social media that featured the legendary tag team, The Midnight Express along with their manager Jim Cornette.

The Midnights, who at different times featured Bobby Eaton, Dennis Condrey, and Stan Lane are best remembered for their iconic feud with The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express throughout the eighties. So intertwined were the two teams that it was The Midnight Express’ manager Jim Cornette who handled the induction when Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson took their rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017.

Ricky Morton took to social media himself recently thanking Steve Austin and The Rock for their thoughts with Austin sharing Morton’s post again, simply adding “shoot” suggesting that he still feels the same.

Little over a month after his wife’s death in 2021, Bobby Eaton tragically passed away at the age of 62. Condrey, Lane, and Cornette survive and could well be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame at some point.

Jim Cornette’s accolades in the wrestling business are well known but in recent years he has found himself a polarising figure for his criticisms and outbursts over the way he sees things. Cornette left the NWA as a commentator in 2019 after outrage over a joke he told on a show that was considered racist.
