Stephanie Vaquer Responds To Injury Claims

Stephanie Vaquer

Will Stephanie Vaquer be at Wrestlepalooza as planned?

Back at Evolution, Stephanie Vaquer earned the right to challenge for the Women’s World Championship at Clash In Paris. However, when Naomi announced that she was pregnant and would be vacating the title, the match was dropped.

Instead, it was announced that Vaquer would compete for the vacant title at Wrestlepalooza against Iyo Sky.

Despite this, the star missed the September 8 episode of Raw and a planned contract signing for the event. But to add to the odd situation, Stephanie Vaquer appeared in NXT alongside Rhea Ripley and Tiffany Stratton just 24 hours later.

The Stephanie Vaquer Mystery

As confusion around her status began to swirl, it was reported that Stephanie Vaquer is dealing with an injury. However, it was noted that the issue is “minor” and that she won’t be missing any scheduled matches. However, Dave Meltzer admitted that he didn’t know why this meant the contract signing couldn’t go ahead.

I don’t know. I think that they weren’t clear on everything. I don’t know the whole story, but I was told by WWE that it’s a minor thing, it’s nothing to worry about. She’s going to be doing matches going forward.

Speaking to Adrian Hernandez in a new interview about her WWE career to date, hopes for the future, and the challenge of learning English, Vaquer also dismissed those reports around her fitness.

The star swiftly denied that she’s injured, and said she’s ready to go for Monday Night Raw.

“No, I saw social media. Sometimes, many things are not real. There’s no injuries. I’m ready for Raw next Monday.”

Meanwhile, WWE is looking to build Wrestlepalooza into “another WrestleMania or another SummerSlam.” Those comments were made by TKO Group COO Mark Shapiro, who also said that Triple H was working “night and day” to make the event a success.
