Stephanie Vaquer Makes Surprising NXT Stand & Deliver Request
Stephanie Vaquer has given herself a mountain to climb.
On the April 1 episode of NXT, Stephanie Vaquer was forced to relinquish the Women’s North American Championship. This is despite only becoming a double champion a little over a month earlier.
The rationale was that the title needed to be defended on a regular basis and with Vaquer in possession that wouldn’t be possible.
However, Vaquer remains the NXT Women’s Champion, but perhaps not for much longer.
Stephanie Vaquer Demands NXT Stand & Deliver Challenge
The April 8 edition of NXT opened with Jordynne Grace vs. Jaida Parker, but the match ended in all-out chaos. With Women’s Champion Vaquer on commentary, it wasn’t long until things went off the rails and she was soon involved in the action.
After the referee called for the bell, Giulia made her surprise return to television to help Vaquer clear the ring. However, she then planted a headbutt on the champion and a Northern Lights Bomb before standing over her with the Women’s Title in hand.
Giulia had been absent since losing the title to Vaquer at Roadblock amid reports of a mystery injury.
Later in the show, Giulia explained her actions saying her return isn’t about friendship it’s about getting a rematch. Elsewhere, Vaquer told General Manager Ava that she wanted to face Giulia, Jordynne Grace, and Jaida Parker at Stand & Deliver.
