Stephanie Vaquer Deletes Response To Shocking Accusation
New Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer has quickly backtracked after getting embroiled in an online WWE debate.
Stephanie Vaquer captured the Women’s World Championship at Wrestlepalooza when she defeated IYO SKY for the vacant title. Naomi had relinquished the title after revealing her pregnancy, leaving WWE needing to find a new champion.
The build-up to the Wrestlepalooza match had been unusual, but Triple H has lifted the lid on why Vaquer’s road to the title was anything but straightforward.
Following her win, Stephanie Vaquer issued a very personal statement celebrating her success, but she probably wishes that’s where she left her social media output.
Stephanie Vaquer Deletes Melina Post
WWE has been heavily promoting Vaquer as its first Latina Women’s World Champion, but some fans online have called for the company to show more respect to Melina, who previously held gold in the company.
Vaquer waded into things when she posted:
I respect her a lot, but I think you’re misinformed; she never held the WWE Women’s World Championship
Stephanie Vaquer almost immediately deleted her post, leaving fans to continue the debate by themselves.
During her seven years on WWE’s main roster, Melina held the Divas Title twice and the WWE Women’s Championship on three occasions.
