Stephanie McMahon Admits Vince’s Ideas For Her Were Weird
Stephanie McMahon has admitted that she felt that some of the things she was asked to do during her WWE career by Vince McMahon were weird.
Stephanie McMahon was a mainstay of WWE for many years following her debut in the company as the quiet, reserved daughter of Vince McMahon. That persona fell by the wayside in 1999 when she revealed she was in cahoots with Triple H as she turned on her own father.
The audience’s reaction was immediate and she was soon showered with chants of “slut” everywhere she went – something that seems unthinkable in 2024.
That led to years of Stephanie McMahon being on the receiving end of very personal and sexual comments on-screen by many of the company’s top stars.
Stephanie McMahon Admits Her Father’s Ideas Were Weird
Speaking on the Mr McMahon Netflix documentary, Vince McMahon recalled the reaction when Stephanie turned on him and noted his daughter was willing to do anything:
I’ve got a big smile on my face because that means the audience is participating. Anytime the audience is participating, they’re loving what it is you’re doing. Steph became this great heel. She was willing to do anything. She’s always been, ‘Whatever you want, dad.’ She knows what it is I’m trying to do.
Stephanie McMahon admitted that she was on board for all the things she was asked to do in her younger days even if she can’t quite believe it now:
When I was younger in my career, I was all on board to do whatever he wanted. I look back on some of the stuff I did and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe I did that.’ Yeah, for sure.
Stephanie was then asked if she found it odd that her own father was asking her to do these things and she acknowledged she did:
Yeah, sometimes, I thought it was a little bit weird, but it was a different time in our business.
The documentary also saw Vince McMahon claim The Undertaker wasn’t telling the whole truth about his experience at WrestleMania 30.
