Stephanie McMahon has claimed that Ronda Rousey legitimately injured her once.

McMahon and Rousey have had a brief yet memorable rivalry in the Stamford promotion; it was MMA brutality vs. WWE royalty.

After retiring from MMA in 2016, ‘The Rowdy One’ transitioned to professional wrestling, making her debut at the 2018 Royal Rumble.

Over the following months, circumstances would see her associate with Kurt Angle, while standing up to Stephanie McMahon and Triple H’s ‘Authority.’

The feud intensified further, with a mixed tag team match between the four superstars announced for WrestleMania 34.

At the contract signing segment on a RAW episode, McMahon would slap Rousey, who in turn put Stephanie in an armbar and dragged her across the ring.

Their Wrestlemania match witnessed great action, with Ronda even going after Triple H at one point. Ultimately, it was the babyface team that won, after Rousey made McMahon tap out to her armbar submission.

Stephanie McMahon Recalls Getting Hurt By Ronda Rousey

On a recent episode of What’s Your Story? With Steph McMahon, the Billion Dollar Princess was joined by American boxer Claressa Shields.

Shields narrated an incident where she was legitimately punched by Sardius Simmons during a sparring session, which led to her having trouble chewing food.

This is when Stephanie McMahon shared an in-ring incident from her WrestleMania 34 match, where Ronda Rousey, who was making her in-ring debut, punched her square in the face.

Ronda did that to me at a much smaller level, but you know, you’re like supposed to put your hands up, but it’s, you know, to block the shots, but I’m not like, really, I’m doing what I’m supposed to do theatrically, and she’s lighting me up in the corner and she just…I had to think, instinct just took over, and she came right around my hands and caught me in the jaw, and my mouth was open and…

Yeah, so I couldn’t eat very well…and she was not trying to hit me as hard as she could either, so thank God. [3:34 onwards]
