Stephanie McMahon Responds To Paul Heyman Following Huge Praise From The WWE Legend
Stephanie McMahon has reacted to kind words from WWE Hall of Famer, Paul Heyman.
Even though she doesn’t have an official job title with WWE, it was still a big 2025 for Stephanie McMahon.
At the first-ever WWE Wrestlepalooza PLE (ECW had used the name before, but not WWE) in September, The Undertaker surprised Stephanie McMahon at ringside to let her know that she would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in April 2026.
In addition, Stephanie has hosted a podcast called “What’s Your Story” with many major guests, including WWE legends like Paul Heyman, Roman Reigns, AJ Lee, Natalya, Big E, and others.
On social media, Paul Heyman claimed that appearing on Stephanie’s podcast was one of the highlights of his year. Stephanie responded on social media that it was one of her highlights of year as well.

Stephanie McMahon Learned A Lot From Paul Heyman
When Stephanie McMahon was in her mid-20s in the early 2000s, she was working on the writing team under her father, Vince McMahon. She was also put in a role where she had to work with the legendary Paul Heyman, who had been in the wrestling business for about 20 years at that point.
While recalling her time working with Heyman, Stephanie McMahon admitted on her podcast that she wanted to learn from WWE’s Wise Man.
āI was trying to learn from you, but I was also trying to learn what didnāt work. So when you would present everything as a solve and hereās what we do, and Iām like, butā¦and I poke holes in it. And youād be like, āYou can just ignore that part.ā And then Iād be likeā¦(Heyman laughs)ā¦cuz I really wanted to understand, you know.
I was trying so hard to learn the psychology of the business, from every aspect. And I learned so much of it from my dad on the writing side. And I learned so much of it from Paul (Triple H) ringside. I never understood at all the psychology of a match before he explained it to me. You know, and he would take me through things. And answer my questions. You know, cuz I had so many questions.
And that was what I was trying to do with you and understand your psychology, and how you would create all these ideas And how you knew which talents actually had it and who didnāt. You saw things in people that nobody else saw. And when you kept saying it like, āYes, no, this is the answer. And this and only this.ā And Iām like no, but rif with me. āNope, this is it.ā It would frustrate me because I didnāt feel like I was learningā¦cuz you werenāt giving me that at that time. But thatās okay.ā
When Heyman tried to speak up to explain his viewpoint, Stephanie spoke up again.
āBut thatās why I got frustrated. Cuz you were bulls**ting me and I called you out on it, and I was like, āWould you just stop doing that?’ā (Heyman laughs.)
It was a fascinating podcast to listen to as two WWE Hall of Famers shared so many interesting stories about their lives in and out of the pro wrestling business.
