Stephanie McMahon Not The Only McMahon At John Cena’s Last Match
It seems there was another McMahon, as well as Stephanie McMahon, in attendance for John Cena’s last match.
John Cena competed in the final match of his iconic career at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th when he took on Gunther. The Ring General had vowed to make Cena tap out and finally abandon his “Never give up” creed.
Few thought that was actually possible, and that is why there was shock when Cena meekly tapped out to Gunther while trapped in the sleeper hold. Triple H was showered with “You f*cked up” chants when he led the locker room to the ring to pay their own tribute to the 17-time WWE Champion.
That tribute included a special video airing showcasing some of the biggest moments of Cena’s career. It also included a historic clip of Vince McMahon sharing his thoughts on one of his biggest ever stars, which raised a smile from Cena.
Stephanie McMahon Hosts WWE SNME
There had been suggestions that Vince McMahon could be in Washington, D.C. for Cena’s final outing, but that was not the case. Stephanie McMahon was a constant presence on the show, sharing hosting duties with Joe Tessitore, but now it seems there was another McMahon at the show as well.
PWInsider has reported that former WWE CEO Linda McMahon was at the show. She is currently the Secretary of Education in Donald Trump’s cabinet, meaning that she spends a lot of time in the US capital.
Shane McMahon was in attendance at the recent Raw show in Madison Square Garden, but like his father, he was not in attendance for John Cena’s last match.
