Another Star Admits They Don’t Like WWE Unreal
WWE Unreal is still a big talking point.
On July 29, WWE Unreal hit Netflix, promising a look behind the scenes of the sports entertainment giant like never before. The docuseries even took cameras into the usually mysterious writers’ room to show how matches and storylines are put together.
Despite some fans welcoming the new insight, others felt that it still presented a stage-managed version of events and that some things should remain a mystery. One of the show’s biggest critics,
Stone Cold Steve Austin echoed those thoughts.
However, Triple H later said that he doesn’t understand the criticism as the show is “supposed to be entertainment.”
WWE Unreal Isn’t Popular With Everyone
While Triple H can only see the positives of the series, not everyone in his own locker room agrees.
Back in July, CM Punk said the project goes against how he views professional wrestling, and it seems he isn’t alone.
During a new interview with the Battleground Podcast, Grayson Waller admitted that he isn’t a fan. The Aussie star said that although he’s got some friends who enjoyed the show, he prefers an element of mystery and would prefer if certain things were kept hidden from the public.
“I’m one of the guys who I’m not a big fan of Unreal.
I understand it’s a really entertaining show and a lot of my mates have watched and say they love it, but for me, I love the mystery.
I don’t like the magician’s secrets to be revealed.”
Despite the controversy around it, WWE Unreal will be back in 2026 with a second season. Although there’s been no concrete comment from producers, the new season is expected to feature Seth Rollins’ injury ruse ahead of SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar’s return to the company, and potentially AJ Lee’s own comeback.
