Potential Spoiler Regarding WWE Debut On SmackDown After WrestleMania
A new WWE superstar may be making his debut, and it could involve The Bloodline stable on SmackDown.
It was reported in late February that WWE had signed former NJPW wrestler Tama Tonga. Immediately after news of the signing broke, there were rumors about Tonga joining The Bloodline stable.
The reason why there were rumors of the 41-year-old Tonga joining The Bloodline stable is because he’s the adopted song of WWE Hall of Famer Haku/Meng, who was in the front row of this year’s Hall of Fame ceremony sitting beside Rikishi. Tonga spent most of the last 14 years working for New Japan Pro Wrestling and winning multiple titles over there, including seven Tag Team Title reigns with Tanga Loa.
While Tonga may not be officially related to members of The Bloodline, The Rock has referred to his father Haku as an Uncle in the past, so the group could certainly add Tonga to it.
Ahead of the first Smackdown episode after WrestleMania on April 12th in Detroit, PWInsider Elite is reporting that Tama Tonga has been spotted in Detroit for a potential appearance on Smackdown.
While Tonga is in Detroit, that doesn’t necessarily mean he will be on Smackdown. That has yet to be reported anywhere, so fans will have to tune into Smackdown to see if Tonga makes his WWE debut this evening.
Could WWE Newcomer Jacob Fatu Also Join The Bloodline?
Another potential member of The Bloodline group could be Jacob Fatu, who reportedly signed with WWE recently. When The Rock and Roman Reigns revealed The Bloodline family chart at WrestleMania 40 Kickoff, the former MLW World Champion Jacob’s name was on there. Jacob is the son of the Tonga Kid, which makes him a nephew of Rikishi and a cousin of The Usos and Roman Reigns.
As for former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, he is expected to be on a break following his WrestleMania 40 title loss to Cody Rhodes.
We will have a full review of WWE SmackDown later tonight on TJRWrestling.
