Son Of WWE Legend Starts Journey To Become Fourth-Generation Star
The son of a 14-time WWE Champion has begun wrestling.
Randy Orton was the most recent guest on What’s Your Story? with Stephanie McMahon, and he opened up about his life and career like never before.
Although Orton is one of the most decorated WWE Superstars of all time and a sure-fire Hall of Famer, that doesn’t mean he’s immune to self-doubt and crippling anxiety about his performance.
While reflecting on his lengthy injury absence, which started in mid-2022 and lasted a full 18 months, Randy Orton admitted he got into a “dark place” and became overwhelmed by anxiety and panic attacks. This led to him being given antidepressants and anti-anxiety medication as he recovered from spinal fusion surgery.
Thankfully, Orton added that he’s now feeling much better and hasn’t used the medication for six months.
Will Randy Orton’s Son Make It To WWE?
During the conversation, Orton also revealed that one of his sons is looking to follow in his famous footsteps and has started wrestling. Should Orton’s son carve out a career in pro wrestling, he’d become one of the industry’s few fourth-generation wrestlers as he’ll follow Bob Orton Sr and Cowboy Bob Orton as well as The Viper.
“My youngest son started wrestling, wrestling tournaments. He’s a three sport kid. He plays football, he wrestles, might play basketball this winter, but then he also does a few things with track. So he goes.”
Randy Orton was most recently in action at Night of Champions, where he lost in the finals of the King of the Ring for a second consecutive year. On this occasion, he was beaten by Cody Rhodes, 12 months after being bested by Gunther.
