“Something Big” Set For AEW Dynamite

Ahead of AEW Dynamite in Baltimore, it has been reported that something major is happening on the show – although what it is remains a closely guarded secret.

Baltimore is in for a stacked Dynamite show with Daddy Ass’ Birthday Bash taking place amongst a big night of in-ring action. Jon Moxley will take on The Firm’s Lee Moriarty in an AEW Title Eliminator match and the All-Atlantic Title will be on the line as Orange Cassidy defends his belt against Luchasaurus and Rey Fenix.

Chris Jericho will also put his ROH World Title on the line against an as-yet-unnamed former Ring of Honor Champion. All eyes will also be on the action between matches after a vignette starring the formerly suspended Elite aired last week on the show.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez confirmed he was told that something huge could be set for Dynamite but was unable to say exactly what:

“Yesterday I was told something big is happening on the show. It’s gonna be one of those things everyone’s talking about. I asked around and nobody would tell me anything but it was confirmed to me something’s happening tonight.”

“[…] I’ve been told now from several people that something’s happening tonight and there’s gonna be a lot of chit-chat on Twitter after the show apparently.”

Let the speculation commence. Will The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega make their long-awaited return to AEW television after the mess that occurred at All Out? Will Chris Jericho’s mystery opponent cause a stir online? There’s only one way to find out – Dynamite live on TBS and FITE TV at 8pm ET.
