Shocking Claim Made About CM Punk Amid WWE Retirement Talk
CM Punk has been coming under fire for not being in the best of shape.
Recently, Kevin Nash took a shot at the World Heavyweight Champion for working the main event with his t-shirt on. He claimed that a world champion should be in the best of shape.
Furthermore, he claimed that Punk’s punches were weak. While Nash made these comments, Stevie Richards spoke out in favour of CM Punk, even claiming that maybe The Best in the World wore the t-shirt to hide the holiday weight.
It could be [Punk’s way of getting some last minute sales] or because of the holiday season — he was enjoying carbs a little bit too much! Like we all kind of do. But when you’re on TV, it’s a lot more noticeable. Punk’s got the same body type as I do, and we both used to joke that we are skinny fat.
CM Punk needs to continue doing live events to not get blown up
On The Coach and Bro, Jonathan Coachman and Vince Russo discussed the comments by Kevin Nash. Jonathan Coachman claimed that the Second City Saint is excellent on the mic, but he gets blown up within five minutes of a fight. Ideally, WWE should continue doing the live events so that the superstars can main event the PLEs better.
What did Kevin Nash say? That CM Punk should retire. And a lot of the reason he said that is because when you watch a CM Punk match, he’s great still on the microphone. No question.
And I think Jericho would be great on the microphone in a creative role. But CM Punk gets blown up in about five minutes right now. Because they’re not doing.. They’ve had live events all this week, by the way, which have had great crowds. And I hope they look at this week and go, “Man, maybe we should be doing these house shows again.” Because that’s how you don’t get blown up when you’re having a 30-minute title match at SummerSlam, and you haven’t worked on your cardio in months and months and months.
CM Punk trolled Kevin Nash for his comments during WWE’s live show at Fort Myers. However, he hasn’t directly responded to Nash.
