Shocking Alliance Between Former WWE Champions Teased Ahead Of Night Of Champions

A potential alliance between two former WWE champions could rock the women’s tag team division.

Alexa Bliss has been on a solo journey since returning to the company this year after a brief hiatus.

However, circumstances may force her to form an unexpected partnership with 14-time world champion Charlotte Flair.

A few weeks ago, the pair contested in a four-way match for a spot in the semi-finals of the Queen of the Ring Tournament, which Bliss won.

In the subsequent weeks, WWE has teased a camaraderie between them, despite each telling the other they didn’t need help.

On the June 27 SmackDown episode in Saudi Arabia, they came face to face again backstage.

Although Bliss did not suggest that they partner, she did say that being on the same page would not hurt, referring to their relationship as “allies of convenience.”

Charlotte did not respond with an outright ‘no,’ leaving the possibility of a potential alliance in the near future open.

Queen Of The Ring To Be Crowned At WWE Night Of Champions

Jade Cargill and Asuka will clash in the final of the Queen of the Ring Tournament at WWE Night of Champions.

The rivals met in the ring on the preceding SmackDown, but were interrupted by Ms. Money in the Bank, Naomi.

The segment ended with Asuka taking out Cargill and celebrating as the Riyadh crowd chanted her name.

Nia Jax had won the tournament last year by pinning Lyra Valkyria.
