Shock WWE Reunion A Long Time In The Making

An unlikely duo is standing side-by-side in WWE and it seems the company has had plans for the team dating quite some time.

Giulia made her long-awaited debut in NXT back at No Mercy where she got in the face of NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez. The former Stardom great didn’t waste any time in going for gold in her new home as she challenged Perez for her title on the first edition of NXT on the CW Network.

That match took place on October 1st and a surprise twist saw Giulia fail to win the title. During the bout, Roxanne Perez grabbed the referee which left an opening for a hooded figure to pounce on Giulia which then allowed Perez to hit Pop Rocks to retain her championship.

That mystery assailant turned out to be Cora Jade who has been out of action since January after she suffered a torn ACL. Jade and Perez had previously been NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions but Jade turned on Perez leading to the title being vacated meaning Roxanne Perez was more surprised than anyone about the help.

WWE Had Plans For Cora Jade & Roxanne Perez

On the 8th of October edition of NXT, Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade made clear that they were moving on together before being taken out by Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer who was making her first in-person appearance on NXT TV.

Fightful Select reported that WWE long had plans to reunite Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez as a heel duo dating back to before Jade’s ACL injury in January 2024 which kept her out of action for nine months.
