Shock Title Change On WWE SmackDown; 2-Month Reign Over
The Lyon crowd has witnessed a shocking title change tonight on WWE SmackDown.
Sami Zayn moved from Monday Night RAW to SmackDown a couple of weeks ago. On his first night back on the blue brand, he confronted Solo Sikoa and expressed his interest in the United States Championship.
Tonight on SmackDown, the 41-year-old challenged Sikoa for the title. While JC Mateo and Tonga Loa took cheap shots at Zayn while the referee was distracted during the match, Jimmy Uso appeared at ringside to even the odds. Nevertheless, he was outpowered by Sikoa’s MFTs.
Jacob Fatu was the next one to show up to go after Sikoa’s associates. The Samoan Werewolf targeted Talla Tonga before joining forces with Uso to take out Mateo and Loa. The fight continued outside the ring, leading to Sikoa being left alone to fight Zayn inside the squared circle.

Despite losing his teammates’ support, Solo Sikoa took control over his opponent and was even close to finishing him off on multiple occasions.
Sami Zayn, known for his fighting spirit, continued to fight against the much stronger Sikoa. After escaping a Samoan Spike, the former Intercontinental Champion hit his former Bloodline teammate with a Helluva Kick, sending the 32-year-old into the corner.
Zayn followed with another devastating Helluva Kick for the three count to capture the United States Championship and end Sikoa’s 62-day title reign.
